"Lifetime has opted not to renew Devious Maids for a fifth season. The decision comes a couple of weeks after the series ended its Season 4 run on the network.
Devious Maids, developed by Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry based on a telenovela format, migrated to Lifetime after being developed and piloted at ABC. It got off to a strong start, with its freshman season peaking at 3 million Live+same day viewers for the season finale. The ratings have slipped in each consecutive season, with the most recent fourth season averaging 0.923 million viewers (L+SD), but the show has been consistent, with virtually no drop-off throughout Season 4. Its average still was twice the viewership of Lifetime's other original scripted series, the critically praised UnReal."

Closing out an incredibly successful series run and giving viewers a chance to say goodbye over the last 13 episodes, the sixth and final season of NBC's drama "Grimm" will begin its last chapter with the battle fans have long been waiting for - Nick versus Capt. Renard.
The series, which reached the 100-episode milestone last season, has long been a fan and critical favorite, with the Los Angeles Times calling it "terrific and trendsetting
'Grimm' has become a beacon of solid narrative and a weekly reminder of why monsters matter." The New York Times said "Grimm" is "engaging, clever, tense, funny and well-paced, featuring a remarkably appealing cast."
As for events leading into the final season, the nefarious forces of Black Claw have been silenced and Nick (David Giuntoli) faces an all too familiar foe in Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). Now in the seat of power as the mayor elect of Portland, Renard is poised to bring rise to his own brand of law and order. It will take the full force of Nick and his allies to find a way to bring the peace.
Meanwhile, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) grapple with bringing a child into a new and tumultuous world, and Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) faces unsettling identity issues as her former self lurks below the surface.
"Grimm" also stars Russell Hornsby and Reggie Lee.

Starz's 'Black Sails' to End With Season 4
The series was renewed last year for season four, with the 10-episode drama returning in 2017.
The end of the road for Black Sails is in sight.
Starz on Wednesday announced that the previously announced fourth season of the pirate drama Treasure Island prequel series will be its last. The series will return with a 10-episode fourth and final season in 2017.
"It's a rare privilege in television to be given the kind of creative freedom we've enjoyed on this show over the last four years," co-creator Jonathan E. Steinberg said in a statement. "While it was a difficult decision for us to make this season our last, we simply couldn't imagine anything beyond it that would make for a better ending to the story nor a more natural handoff to Treasure Island."
The first three seasons have averaged 3.6 million viewers when factoring in DVR and multiplatform viewers. Black Sails is distributed in nearly 200 countries and territories around the world and scored Emmys for visual effects and sound editing. The series, which stars Toby Stephens, is executive produced by Michael Bay, Steinberg (Jericho) and Robert Levine (Touch).
"Jon Steinberg and Robert Levine, along with their crew and the phenomenal cast, have delivered a spectacular take on the most legendary pirate story in literature, and this final season will bring us to the shores of Treasure Island as was always intended," said Starz managing director Carmi Zlotnik. "Black Sails has been a tremendous success; from the loyal fan following and strong viewership numbers to awards recognition and the skill of our world-class production in Cape Town, we could not be more proud of this very special series."
