The as-of-yet untitled sixth installment will air on FX in 2016 with the next chapter of the Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning franchise co-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

Blindspot renewed for season 2 by NBC

NBC has ordered a second season of its hit freshman drama "Blindspot," the #1 new series of the fall in the 18-49 demo. With Sullivan Stapleton as an FBI agent who's not to be messed with and breakout star Jaimie Alexander now firmly established as a TV leading lady, "Blindspot" has proven to be both a ratings and critical smash. Since its Sept. 21 launch, the series has dominated the 10 p.m. Monday timeslot.

"We are over the moon with the success of 'Blindspot,' and want to thank our producers and amazing cast for creating one of the most riveting shows on television. Jaimie and Sullivan have done an amazing job of ratcheting up the tension each week in trying to unravel the mystery of Jane's tattoos," said Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment. "Blindspot" is averaging a 3.7 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49 and 12.7 million viewers overall so far this season, according to "most current" averages from Nielsen Media Research through the season's opening six weeks, making it the #1 new series of the new fall season in 18-49. "Blindspot" is undefeated in the time period so far this season versus its broadcast competition in adults 18-49 and is outrating its ABC and CBS competition combined in that key demo.

"Blindspot" is also one of the most time-shifted shows on television, growing by +71% so far this season in adult 18-49 rating going from its next-day "live plus same day" rating to "live plus seven day Nielsens (from a 2.65 to a 4.54) and by more than 5.7 million viewers overall (9.3 million to 15.1 million).

Z Nation renewed by syfy for season 3

NEW YORKâ€" November 6, 2015 â€" Syfy and The Asylum today announced that scripted drama series Z Nation will be back to Z-Whack its way through a third season of zombie road trippin' action. A 15-hour third season is slated to premiere on Syfy in 2016.

Z Nation takes place three years after a zombie virus gutted the country. A team of everyday heroes is tasked with transporting the only known survivor of the plague across the country to the last functioning viral lab in post-apocalyptic America, in hopes of using his blood to create a cure for the virus.

Currently in the midst of Season 2, Z Nation is averaging 1.5 million total viewers per episode (Live +7). To date, it ranks as the network's most social original series in total social engagements.

Z Nation stars Kellita Smith (The Bernie Mac Show), DJ Qualls (Supernatural, The Man in the High Castle), Keith Allan (Rise of the Zombies), Anastasia Baranova (The Darkness II), Russell Hodgkinson (Big Fish), Nat Zang and Matt Cedeño (Devious Maids). This season, Emilio Rivera (Sons of Anarchy) appears as a recurring guest star.

Karl Schaefer (Eerie Indiana, Eureka, The Dead Zone) serves as executive producer and showrunner. The series is produced by The Asylum and sold internationally by Dynamic Television.

Z Nation is currently airing Fridays at 10/9c on Syfy. Upcoming guest stars include Missi Pyle, Doug Jones, Anthony Michael Hall and Gina Gershon.


The walking dead renewed for season 7

NEW YORK, NY â€" October 30, 2015 â€" AMC announced today that it has renewed "The Walking Dead," the #1 show on television among adults 18-49 for the last three years, for a seventh season. In addition, AMC has renewed "Talking Dead," the live after-show hosted by Chris Hardwick that ranks in the top 10 across all television among adults 18-49, with new episodes to follow "The Walking Dead."

The October 25th episode of "The Walking Dead" delivered 18.2 million viewers, 12 million adults 18-49 and 11.5 million adults 25-54 in live+3 ratings, which include three days of time-shifted viewing â€" each growing compared to last season's corresponding episode #503. Last Sunday's "Talking Dead" was its highest-rated episode ever that was not a premiere or a finale, delivering 7.3 million viewers, 4.6 million adults 18-49 and 4.7 million adults 25-54 in live+3.

"Thank goodness someone had a Magic 8-Ball with them in our many long internal meetings about these renewals. "One season isn't enough to satisfy the fans' two-decade-long appetite for more Ash," said Starz managing director Carmi Zlotnik. "The early fan and press support, along with the international broadcaster demand for more story, have made it clear that the adventures of Ash Williams can't end with Season 1." Season 2 of Ash Vs. Evil Dead is expected to air in late 2016.
